Why HSTA

The Difference

Aware of the importance of players' full dedication, the learning environment created at HSTA is one of self-informed, self-motivated, and self-inspired (IMI). Students and instructors receive a well-rounded, complete instruction at HSTA, where they explore the simplicity of the shooting form, receive strategic shooting information, as well as develop interactive relationships through challenging ball-handling workouts and shooting skill development.

Along with our own facilities, we partner with local basketball centers to use their facility to provide private shooting lessons, ball-handling lessons, and game situation lessons. And whereas traditional basketball lessons are given by coaches using only their eyes or video cameras to see faults in the student’s shot, at HSTA all instruction is fact-based. We use digital video, video analysis, and impact analysis computers to offer the best, most comprehensive shooting lesson available.

The Industry

Players today are surrounded by the flashy and showy style of play and tend to miss out on the understanding of the game that elevates their playing level. This lack of fundamentals has had its effect on every level of the game, namely evident in recent Olympic Games in which the U.S. no longer seemed to dominate the game of basketball worldwide.

Players and coaches in the U.S. now recognize the crucial need and power of proper fundamental training, and have respect for the opportune and true shooting form. HSTA’s growth has accelerated because it tapped into this market years ago, a market that had been underserved for years. Only now, through HSTA, is there a U.S-researched shooting instruction system combining teaching tools and technology.

The Opportunity

HSTA can clearly be a vehicle for you or your player(s) to gain personal confidence. HSTA strives not only to make improvements in a player’s jump shot or basketball skills, but to increase self-esteem, confidence, and build character. But beyond the training satisfactions, training at HSTA is a major reward in itself, given that 90% of our clients, youth basketball players and professionals alike, have had a positive experience in the years following the program. In fact, via the ALL STAR-to-ALL PRO,  65% of all HSTA clients have a long-term training relationships with us, spanning from four to six years.
